Obverse description Within a crenellated arch supported by two flanking towers, a heraldic eagle displayed occupies the central field. The architectural framing is rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner typical of late 13th- to early 14th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly concave as a result of the hammered striking technique. No legend or inscriptions are present on this side.
