Obverse description Frontal effigy of a bishop standing or enthroned, holding a crozier in one hand and a book in the other, rendered in a crude, stylized manner characteristic of early medieval hammered coinage. The figure is depicted within an irregular flan with remnants of a partial Latin legend around the periphery, largely worn and incomplete. The artistic execution is typical of 13th-century Austrian regional bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage, with bold, deeply struck relief and minimal fine detail.
