Obverse description Facing bust of Bishop Henry IV wearing a mitre, depicted in a stylized Romanesque manner within a beaded inner circle. Flanking the bishop's effigy are two small floral or foliate sprigs, one to each side, rising from a row of pellets or decorative beading at the base. The bishop's facial features are rendered in a bold, archaic style characteristic of 13th-century south German ecclesiastical bracteate-influenced coinage. The circumferential legend reads + HENRICVS EPS, identifying the issuer as Bishop Henry.
