Obverse description Facing armored knight or margrave figure depicted in the round, rendered in crude medieval style typical of Austrian hammered bracteate-influenced pfennigs. The figure wears a mail hauberk and holds an upright sword in the right hand with a triangular shield bearing a circular device at center displayed before the body. A partial legend surrounds the central design within a beaded or rope border, with the inscription fragmentarily preserved around the field.
