| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of a standing duke clad in chainmail armor, holding an upright sword in his right hand and a triangular shield adorned with rings in his left. The figure is rendered in a flat, Romanesque style characteristic of early 13th-century Central European bracteate-related coinage. A circular Latin legend runs around the periphery, confined between two concentric lines. The lettering is partially legible, reading xERE[---], with the remainder of the inscription lost to die wear or irregular striking. |
