Obverse description Frontal bust of a crowned ruler in high relief, rendered in the Romanesque style typical of mid-13th century Austrian pfennigs. The effigy displays a broad crown with prominent points or fleurs, a schematically rendered bearded face with large almond-shaped eyes, and a stylized collar or chain mail visible at the neck and shoulders. Partial Latin legend surrounds the bust in the field, partially visible along the irregular flan edge. The overall design is bold and deeply struck, characteristic of the hammered coinage of Carinthia.
