Obverse description A plain cross divides the field into four quarters, each containing a stylized curved motif or crescent-like ornament in relief, enclosed within a plain inner circle. The design is characteristic of the Viennese bracteate-style pfennig tradition, struck with bold, deeply impressed relief. No legend or inscription is present. The flan exhibits the characteristic irregular, pinched quadrilateral shape typical of Austrian hammered pfennigs of the early 14th century.
