| Obverse description | Frontal bust of a bishop in pontifical vestments, rendered in low relief in the characteristic Friesacher Pfennig style. Flanking the figure on either side are two inward-facing eagles, each held aloft in a raised hand; a small annulet appears above each eagle's head. The entire device is enclosed within a thin raised border circle, beyond which the flan edge is left plain and irregular, consistent with hammered coinage of the period. |
