Obverse description Frontal bust of a bishop or patriarch in high relief, wearing a mitre and ecclesiastical vestments with stylized drapery folds rendered in the Romanesque manner. The figure holds a crozier or staff in the right hand, with the left hand raised or extended, set within a beaded or rope inner border. A Latin legend, partially legible due to the irregular flan, surrounds the central device in the field.
