Obverse description Within a beaded inner arc, a crowned episcopal figure shown in frontal bust, wearing liturgical vestments and holding a crozier or sceptre in the right hand; the effigy is rendered in the bold, schematic style characteristic of medieval Austrian-region bracteate-influenced pfennigs. A partial Latin legend runs along the outer border of the flan, segmented and partially illegible due to the irregular hammered flan. The overall design reflects the Romanesque artistic conventions typical of ecclesiastical coinage of the mid-thirteenth century.

Reverse description The reverse presents a deeply impressed incuse composition consistent with the obverse type, as expected on a thin hammered silver pfennig of this period. A frontal crowned bust is depicted flanked by attendant figures or architectural elements, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle; the bold relief of the portrait with crown and schematised drapery is characteristic of the Gutenwerth mint output under Patriarch Berthold V. The design is set within multiple concentric beaded borders, with the field showing minimal additional ornament. The irregular flan edges are typical of hand-cut silver planchets of the thirteenth century.
