| Obverse description | Facing effigy of a bishop, mitred and wearing a collar, depicted en face beneath a pointed Gothic arch surmounted by a patriarchal cross. The bishop's bust is rendered in low relief with schematic facial features including almond-shaped eyes and a curved neckline suggesting liturgical vestments. Flanking the arch on either side stand two small architectural towers or candelabra-like elements, evoking the facade of a Romanesque or early Gothic church portal. The overall composition is contained within the flan without a surrounding legend, consistent with mid-13th century episcopal bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage of the Upper Rhine region. |

| Reverse description | Uniface strike; the reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design as an inherent consequence of the hammered single-die striking technique used for this type of thin silver pfennig. No intentional design, legend, or decorative element is present on the reverse, which displays only the characteristic concave relief and irregular flan edges typical of mid-13th century episcopal coinage from the Bishopric of Basel. |
