Obverse description Full-length frontal figure of the duke standing erect between two pellets, grasping a sword in each hand; the blades extend upward and downward into the inscription area. The duke wears the three-pointed ducal crown (Herzogshut) upon his head. A single pellet appears in the field between the head and the left sword. The legend is rendered in Latin and contained within two concentric line circles bordering the outer edge of the coin.
