Obverse description Armored bust of Duke Albrecht II facing left, wearing a visored helmet surmounted by a heraldic crest, depicted in a schematic, high-relief style characteristic of medieval Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennigs. The figure is shown from the shoulders upward, clad in chain mail or plate armor with outstretched arms visible at either side. The field is plain and unlettered, with no legend present. The crude but bold die-engraving reflects the hammered coinage tradition of the Vienna mint in the mid-14th century.
