Reverse description As a uniface or near-uniface hammered pfennig, the reverse presents an incuse mirror impression of the obverse design, a common feature of thin medieval silver deniers struck by the hammer method. The incuse field shows the characteristic irregular surface texture resulting from the anvil die, with no independent design elements on this side. This construction is consistent with the bracteate-influenced Viennese pfennig coinage of Duke Albrecht II, struck at the Vienna mint during the period 1330–1358.
