Obverse description Central field features a stylized heraldic eagle or bust device rendered in low relief within a plain inner circle, characteristic of late medieval Austrian Pfennig coinage. The design displays a bold trefoil or clover-like lower element beneath a rounded upper form, consistent with the schematic figural types associated with Duke Albert V of Austria. The inscription ALBt (abbreviation for Albertus) is arranged around the central device. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, as typical of hammered silver issues of the Vienna Mint from this period. The overall style reflects the crude but distinctive engraving conventions of late 14th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced coinage.
