Obverse description A dragon passant to the right with head turned back in profile, depicted in a boldly stylized, archaic manner characteristic of late 13th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced coinage. A crenellated tower is borne upon the creature's back, rendered in relief with simplified architectural detail. The entire device is contained within a raised inner circle, which serves as a border separating the central field from the plain outer rim. The flan is irregular, as is typical of hammered medieval Austrian pfennige of this period. No legend or inscription is present.
