Obverse description Draped and veiled effigy of Queen Berenice II facing right, her hair bound with a royal diadem beneath a flowing veil that cascades over her shoulders. The portrait is rendered in a refined Hellenistic style, with delicate facial features, a straight profile, and naturalistic modelling of the drapery folds at the neck. A dotted border encircles the design, partially visible along the left periphery of the flan. No legend appears on the obverse, the queen's identity being established solely through the idealized royal portrait.
