Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the emperor Gordian III facing right, depicted from the rear, presenting a three-quarter back view characteristic of this provincial issue. The imperial effigy is rendered in the Antonine tradition, with the laurel wreath encircling the head and the military cuirass visible beneath the paludamentum.
