| Obverse description | Confronted busts of Macrinus and Diadumenian facing one another, both laureate and draped, set within a circular flan. The larger bust of Macrinus appears to the left, with the smaller bust of Diadumenian to the right. The surrounding Greek legend names both emperors as Augusti and Caesar respectively. The double portrait type is characteristic of the provincial coinage of Marcianopolis issued during their joint reign. |
