Reverse description A cross-crosslet (cross with crosslets at each arm termination) is centrally positioned within a beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four quarters. The moneyer's name is arranged in two words around the outer periphery, separated by crosses, within a beaded border. The bold, angular letterforms are characteristic of Canterbury mint production during the Phase II coinage of Æthelwulf.
