| Additional information |
The Egyptian Arch Bridge pattern was produced as part of the Royal Mint's competitive design process for the 2003 £1 coin, which ultimately selected the bridges of England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland as its four-year reverse rotation. This piece represents one of the rejected submissions from that selection process — patterns of this kind were struck in small numbers for internal review and are rarely released into collector hands through official channels.
