Obverse description A bearded nude male allegorical figure of Hungary, reclining, grapples with a large serpent or hydra, gripping it with both hands and biting its neck in high relief. The figure holds a sword in his lower hand while the serpent coils around his body. The circular legend runs along the beaded border, with the dates 1914 and 1915 and the engraver's signature BERÁN.L visible in the upper field.
