Obverse description Draped bust of Saint Lambert, patron saint of Liège, facing left, crowned with an elaborate jewelled mitre and wearing a richly decorated superhumeral (liturgical collar). The effigy is rendered in high relief in a baroque style, with finely engraved drapery detail. The date 1744 appears in the upper field, divided by the top of the mitre. The circular legend surrounds the bust, separated from the coin's beaded border.
