Obverse description Draped bust of Queen Maria II facing left, her hair elaborately dressed and gathered at the back with decorative elements. The effigy is rendered in a local hammered style characteristic of the Goa mint, with visible tool marks and an irregular flan. The circular legend PARDAU DE GOA runs along the upper periphery, with the date 1839 prominently displayed in the lower exergue area beneath the bust.
