| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra of Sultan Mahmud II, rendered in intricate Ottoman calligraphic style with characteristic sweeping loops and vertical strokes rising above the main body of the cipher. A small rosette or decorative ornament appears to the right of the tughra within the field. The design is set within a plain round flan with no border inscription. |
