Obverse description Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription indicating the mint name and regnal year, reading 'Fi Islambol 1115' (Minted in Istanbul, AH 1115). The legend is rendered in bold, deeply struck Arabic script arranged in three horizontal registers across the coin's face. The date '1115' appears prominently in the lower register in Arabic-Eastern numerals. The entire design is enclosed within a rope or cable border running along the coin's periphery. The surfaces show the characteristic irregular fabric typical of Ottoman hammered coinage of the early eighteenth century.
