| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the elaborate tughra of Sultan Abdülmecid I, rendered in the traditional Ottoman calligraphic style with characteristic looped stems and upward extending shafts. The monogram is enclosed within a simple wreath. The coin is struck on a small billon flan with moderate relief, and the overall composition is typical of early Tanzimat-era Ottoman minor coinage. |

| Reverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription naming the mint and the regnal year, enclosed within a wreath border. The text is arranged in horizontal registers and includes the mint name Kostantiniyye (Constantinople) and the accession year 1255 AH. The numerals of the regnal year appear at the base of the inscription. The die work is characteristic of the Kostantiniyye mint during the early reign of Abdülmecid I. |
