Obverse description Central device consisting of a trishula (trident), the sacred symbol of Shiva, rendered in bold raised relief occupying the majority of the flan. The three prongs of the trishula fan outward from a central shaft, with the design exhibiting the characteristic irregularity of hand-hammered coinage. The field surrounding the device is plain and slightly granular in texture, consistent with the crudely struck copper coinage of the Maratha confederacy period.

Reverse description Reverse bearing a mint mark rendered in cursive Devanagari or Persian script in raised relief, occupying the central field of the flan. The device appears as flowing calligraphic strokes characteristic of Maratha-period copper coinage, with the design somewhat weakly and unevenly struck due to the hand-hammered production method. The granular, irregular flan surface and broad but thin fabric are typical of late Mughal and Maratha subsidiary copper issues.
