| Obverse description | Hammered copper flan bearing a two-line Arabic legend in the field, reading 'Aali Jah Bahadur', separated by a horizontal line dividing the inscription into upper and lower registers. The script is boldly struck in a calligraphic Naskh style typical of Gwalior State coinage of the mid-19th century. The irregular flan edges are characteristic of hand-struck provincial issues of this period. |
