Obverse description Draped bust of a female deity, most likely Artemis or a local Cretan goddess, facing right, with hair tied and wearing a stephane or diadem; the portrait is rendered in a Hellenistic style with provincial execution. Partial legend appears in the lower field, partially legible due to heavy patination and surface wear. The flan is irregularly shaped, characteristic of locally struck provincial bronze coinage of the late Republican period. The field surrounding the bust is flat and largely plain, with no visible border decoration.
