| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of King John II Casimir Vasa facing right, with long curled hair and a prominent bow-ribbon at the shoulder, enclosed within an inner circle. The mint master's initials T·L·B appear below the bust. The surrounding Latin legend reads IOAN CASIM D G REX PO & S T L B, divided by the bust, with pellet stops throughout. | Reverse description | The Pahonia (Vytis) of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania occupies the central field: an armoured knight on horseback galloping to the right, sword raised aloft, within an inner circle. The denomination numeral 18 appears in the lower field beneath the horse, and below it a small shield bearing the Columns of Gediminas (Pillars of Lithuania). A royal crown surmounts the top of the inner circle. The date 1664 is divided across the left portion of the legend, which reads MONET ARGE MAG DVC LIT 1664 · 1 8, with pellet stops throughout and a beaded border. |
