Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra of Sultan Mustafa IV, rendered in fine calligraphic style with characteristic intertwined loops and upward extending shafts. Below the tughra, a three-line Arabic inscription in naskh script records the mint and regnal year, reading 'Zarb fi Kostantiniyye 1222'. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border running along the coin's rim.
