| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra of Sultan Mahmud I, rendered in the characteristic Ottoman calligraphic style with sweeping upward strokes (tuğ) and interlaced loops (beyze) typical of hammered silver coinage of the period. The tughra occupies the majority of the flan and is executed in bold relief. A border of raised dots (pearled border) runs along the lower periphery of the irregularly shaped flan. The silver surface shows the characteristic texture of hand-struck Ottoman coinage. |

| Reverse description | The reverse bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in the field, recording the mint name and Hijri date of striking. The legend is arranged in three lines of cursive Arabic script with the regnal year numerals appearing at the base of the inscription. A partial pearled border frames the lower arc of the irregular flan, consistent with the obverse treatment. The die-work is characteristic of the Baghdad mint production during the reign of Mahmud I. |
