Reverse description Two large Greek letters RE (rho and epsilon), the abbreviated ethnic of Rhegion, occupy the central field flanked by a small olive branch or similar floral symbol between them. The bold incuse lettering is executed in the archaic Greek epichoric script of the western colonies. The design is contained within a beaded border, with the flat field and prominent lettering serving as the city's civic identifier on this small bronze denomination.
