| Reverse description | Within a shallow incuse square, a four-spoked wheel with a circular hub is depicted in low relief at the centre of the field, the spokes terminating near the inner rim of the wheel. The incuse square, produced by the reverse die punch, frames the motif with clearly defined recessed borders visible on the flan. The design is entirely aniconic and uninscribed, consistent with early Thraco-Macedonian coinage convention. The surface of the incuse exhibits the rough, granular texture typical of hammered archaic silver coinage. |
