Obverse description Panoramic view of Leningrad with the cruiser Aurora prominently in the foreground on the Neva River, and the city skyline including the Admiralty spire and St. Isaac's Cathedral dome in the background. Above the cityscape, four Soviet orders in relief (two Orders of Lenin, one Order of the October Revolution, and one Order of the Red Banner) are displayed beneath a Gold Star medal. The field is framed at the bottom by a laurel and oak wreath tied with a hammer and sickle emblem. The engraver's signature Н. СОКОЛОВ appears at lower right.
