| Reverse description | The civic ethnic legend of Nicopolis ad Seleucum arranged in four lines across the central field, fully enclosed within a finely rendered laurel wreath tied at the base. The inscription reads ΝΕΙΚΟ / ΠΟΛΕΙ / ΤΩΝ across the interior, with the full legend ΝΕΙΚΟΠΟΛΕΙΤΩΝ ΤΗϹ ϹΕΛΕΥΚΙΔΟϹ ΙΕΡΑϹ distributed between the wreath interior and the outer border, identifying the issuing city as the sacred Nicopolis of Seleucis. The wreath is depicted with carefully incised leaves and berries, consistent with the provincial bronze coinage of Roman Syria under the Severan dynasty. |
