| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, rendered with characteristic short beard and detailed military paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The portrait displays strong provincial die-cutting, with curly hair surmounted by a laurel wreath clearly articulated in relief. The encircling Greek legend runs along the inner border of a beaded rim, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The overall style is consistent with Phrygian provincial coinage of the Severan period, combining Roman imperial portraiture conventions with local workshop execution. |
