Reverse description Central field features a plain Latin cross with a small pellet at the center, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The cross arms extend to the inner beaded border, dividing the field into four quadrants. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads + CIVITAS EQSTRI, a reference to the ancient Roman settlement Eburodunum (modern Yverdon) or to the civic identity of the bishopric's territory. The flan is irregular and slightly off-center, consistent with hammered medieval technique. The style and execution are typical of anonymous episcopal oboles struck in the Western Swiss region during the high to late medieval period.
