Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style typical of the early Flavian period. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, reading ΑΥΤΟΚ ΚΑΙΣ ΣΕΒΑ ΟΥΕΣΠΑΣΙΑΝΟΥ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The die work reflects the characteristic bold but somewhat coarse engraving of the Alexandrian mint. The flan is irregular, as is common for hammered provincial bronzes of this era.
