Reverse description Abstracted Celtic star or rosette motif occupying the central field, rendered in the characteristically schematic La Tène artistic style derived from Hellenistic prototypes. The central element consists of a prominent globular boss surrounded by radiating pellets and curved appendages forming a stylized multi-pointed star. Surrounding this central device are additional abstract curvilinear forms and pellets arranged dynamically across the field, consistent with the 'Stern' (star) type designation. No legend or inscription is present; the design fills the flan to its irregular borders in the manner typical of Eastern Celtic fractional silver coinage.
