Obverse description Highly schematised and abstracted laureate wreath rendered in the Celtic La Tène artistic tradition, enclosed within a double border of pellets or incuse lines. The design is presented in a bold, simplified manner characteristic of Boian coinage, with the wreath motif reduced to an elongated central element flanked by pellet groupings. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly off-centre, as is typical for hand-struck Celtic obols of this period. No legend or inscription appears in the field.
