Obverse description Central plain cross with a crosier symbol in the first quarter and a scallop shell in the fourth quarter, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding field bears a horizontal Latin legend reading the issuer's name and title. The die is crudely struck, typical of hammered feudal billon coinage of the late 13th to early 14th century.
