Obverse description Zeus seated left on throne, holding an eagle in his outstretched right hand and a scepter in his left; the deity is rendered in archaic style with bold, somewhat schematic musculature. A large bear's head or similar animal device appears above in the upper field, consistent with Arcadian iconographic tradition. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of early hammered coinage from this region.

Reverse description Head of a nymph or female deity facing right, wearing a wreath or stephane and with wavy hair rendered in fine archaic style, set within a recessed incuse square. The portrait is executed with delicate, carefully rendered features characteristic of early fifth-century Arcadian coinage. A partial letter, likely Nu (N), is visible in the upper left corner of the incuse square, possibly an initial of the mint city Mantineia.
