| Reverse description | A plain short cross pattée occupies the center of the reverse field, with a six-pointed star or mullet visible in one quarter, a decorative element characteristic of Aquitainian issues of Edward III. The arms of the cross extend nearly to the border, which is formed by a series of radial lines or pellets creating a beaded or toothed inner circle. The reverse legend, partially legible around the periphery, identifies the issuer's territorial title. The flan is irregular and the strike flat in places, typical of this small hammered billon denomination. |
