| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, draped and cuirassed, depicted in the Alexandrian provincial style. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, rendered with characteristic Romano-Egyptian workmanship. The surrounding circular legend reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΟΣ ΣΕΒ ΓΕΡΜ in Greek characters, identifying the emperor as Augustus Germanicus. The regnal year date LE (Year 5) appears as part of the obverse legend, corresponding to the fifth year of Domitian's reign in the Egyptian calendar of 85–86 AD. |
