Obverse description Facing bust of a crowned figure, rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner, occupying the central field. The figure displays a frontal face with schematically delineated hair falling to the shoulders on either side, flanked by floral or foliate ornaments. A small cross or sceptre motif appears to the left of the bust. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded or linear inner circle, with the irregular flan edge visible beyond.
