Obverse description Central field depicts a frontal royal bust, crowned with a domed or tiered crown, rendered in a highly stylized medieval manner. Flanking the bust are two small patriarchal or double-barred crosses on either side, characteristic of Árpád-dynasty Hungarian coinage. Below the bust, a horizontal bar or table-like structure is visible, beneath which appear two circular pellets or orbs separated by a small arch or lunette. The overall composition is contained within the coin's plain field with no surrounding legend, consistent with Hungarian bracteat-influenced deniers of the early 13th century.
