| Obverse description | Bearded male head in right profile, wearing a satrapal tiara with characteristic curved apex; a circular hoop earring is visible at the ear. The effigy is rendered in bold relief in the archaic style prevalent among Cilician satrapal mints of the mid-fourth century BC. A beaded border frames the design within the irregular flan. |

| Additional information |
Cilicia in the fourth century BC was thick with semi-autonomous cities and dynasts issuing their own fractional silver, many of which remain unattributed to a specific mint despite decades of die-study work. The SNG France and Levante references group this piece among a cluster of related obols whose stylistic affinities suggest a northern Cilician origin, but no scholarly consensus has fixed the issuing authority. Persian satrapal administration of the region during this period meant local coinage operated under implicit Achaemenid tolerance rather than independent authority — a distinction that complicates attribution further.
