| Obverse description | A kantharos rendered in bold relief at centre, displaying the characteristic two high-looping handles and a spreading foot typical of late Classical and early Hellenistic Tarentine coinage. Four pellets are disposed in the field around the vessel, one above, one to each side, and one below, serving as control marks or decorative fill elements. The Greek letter Κ (kappa) appears as a secondary control mark in the lower right field. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with small hammered silver fractions of this period. |
